Model 01 : "CYCLIST"

In the mid-19th century, the popularity of cycling led to a rise in the demand for lightweight cycling shoes. It was around this time that the prototype of modern cycling shoes was born, featuring a unique and beautiful design in which the eyestays are connected in a streamlined manner to the toes, and also serve as reinforcement. This design fits the foot much better than traditional men's shoes, and was later adapted for use in other sports shoes.

Full-scale bicycle racing began around the 1890s. The prototype of the road bike for racing was completed in the 1900s, and the idea of increasing speed by fixing the feet to the pedals was born at the same time. The reinforcement to reduce the burden on the front part of the upper due to pedaling, and the ease of putting the foot in and out of the clip-and-strap (a traditional method of fixing shoes to pedals) made sense for cycling shoes, so this design is thought to have been used for a long time until it was replaced by various new materials such as synthetic leather.

Model 01: "CICLIST" is based on the distinctive design of this classic cycling shoe and is constructed with advanced designs such as hand-sewn welt construction, hidden channels, and curled edges.
