ABOUT

P3110378.JPG

"MINEZO SPORTS SHOES" is based on the design of "vintage athletic shoes (early athletic shoes)" made between 150 and 50 years ago, which are the origin of today's sneakers, and is a custom-made shoe brand using the hand-sawn welt method (machine-stitched soles only), the manufacturing method used for the highest quality men's shoes.

LAST

We have pursued the original charm of wearing leather shoes by reproducing the fit that was seen in vintage American shoes of the past, which wraps around the foot from the top of the shoe to the heel. In addition, we have reduced the pain in the toes that is often cited as a demerit of leather shoes when worn for long periods of time by using an oblique toe derived from athletic shoes, creating a comfortable fit and original form that has never been seen in leather shoes before.

DESIGN

Early athletic shoes were not developed in terms of manufacturing methods and materials. Therefore, they were made by adapting the manufacturing process of leather shoes. The designs that emerged at that time can be said to be fundamental designs that pursued only functionality. Based on the unique patterns created for such sports, the line is composed by cutting down the waste. In the sewing of the upper, the advanced technique that has been cultivated and inherited in the tradition is dropped, and it sublimates into the face that looks like dress shoes while designing the sports shoes origin by the exquisiteness of the detail.

LASTING & BOTTOMING

As the name "sports shoes" suggests, we have adopted a supple hand-sawn welt manufacturing method. In addition, the welt position, which usually extends to the outside of the upper, has been reviewed from the sole design. As a result, the overhang of the welt is reduced as much as possible, resulting in a strong, yet dressy and modern finish. In addition, half rubber is equipped as standard to match the characteristics of each model, and functionality is also given.
